Motorcycle Charity Ride - Terms and Conditions
1. Acknowledgment and Acceptance of Terms
By registering for and participating in the International Female Ride Day Ride, ("Event"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms and Conditions. Your participation in the Event is voluntary, and by joining, you accept all risks associated with motorcycle riding.
2. Eligibility
Participants must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid motorcycle operators license. All motorcycles must be properly registered, insured, and in roadworthy condition as required by state law. If a participant is under 18, they must be accompanied by their legal guardian. The guardian must sign the release of liability on behalf of the minor and assumes all liability for the minor should any incident occur during the Event.
3. Safety and Helmets
The Event takes place in Maine and New Hampshire, both of which do not have mandatory helmet laws. While helmets are not legally required, all participants are strongly encouraged to wear DOT-approved helmets and appropriate safety gear.
4. Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
Participants understand and acknowledge that motorcycle riding carries inherent risks, including but not limited to accidents, injuries, and fatalities. By participating in the Event, you assume all risks associated with riding and release New England Motorcycle Group, its affiliates, sponsors, volunteers, and representatives from any liability, claims, or damages arising from your participation. All riders are required to sign a waiver of liability before participating in the Event.
5. Compliance with Traffic Laws
All participants must obey local and state traffic laws, follow posted speed limits, and ride responsibly. Reckless or dangerous riding, including excessive speeding, wheelies, or stunts, will result in immediate removal from the Event without a refund.
6. Alcohol and Substance Policy
Participants must not consume alcohol or controlled substances before or during the ride. Any rider found under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be disqualified from the Event without a refund and reported to local authorities if necessary.
7. Registration and Fees
All participants must register before the ride and pay any applicable registration fees. Registration fees, if required, are non-refundable, except in cases where the Event is canceled by the organizer and deems it necessary to issue refunds.
8. Weather and Cancellation Policy
The Event will take place rain or shine unless extreme weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances pose a risk to safety. The organizer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the ride at their discretion. No refunds will be issued due to weather-related changes unless otherwise stated.
9. Photography and Media Release
By participating in the Event, you grant the organizer permission to use photographs, videos, and other media featuring your likeness for promotional and marketing purposes without compensation.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless New England Motorcycle Group and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses resulting from your participation in the Event.
11. Modification of Terms
The organizer reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued participation in the Event constitutes acceptance of any changes.
